Living

  • Don’t just sit in A/C all day. It’s important to sweat. Sweating also excretes urea reducing load on kidneys.
  • Avoid medicines as much as you can. They hurt kidneys.
  • Standing desks are good, but also work in deep squat. It relaxes the heart, and allows pulling blood from the veins in feet.
  • Always be early. When writing exams or when interviewing, go and see the location one day prior.
  • When water level rises, lotus stem rises with it. Then when the water level drops, the lotus flower dies. If you start earning more, don’t increase your spendings with it.
  • Eat natural as much as possible.
  • I studied these concepts 40 years ago, but still remember them clearly. Test of time is the only reliable way to find if you really understood something.
  • Plant viruses usually can’t attack humans. It’s unlikely that you’ll see plant virus pandemics. Stick to vegetarian food.

  • Don’t lose integrity for anything in the world. At the end, you’ll find it was not worth it.

  • Remember your family. That’s all one really has.
  • Don’t be arrogant about anything. It doesn’t take much time to fall.
  • Take your time with important decisions. Always do what feels right in the gut.
  • If I had to cheat, why did I study so much? I could just stand with a knife and mug people.
  • When plastic bag falls in the mud, it appears muddy to outsiders. As soon as it comes out of the mud, we can see that the bag was always clean and transparent, never soaking any of the mud. Be like a plastic bag. Don’t be affected by the bad in your surroundings.

God

  • Don’t stress about people doing wrong and getting away with it, law of karma will make them pay eventually.
  • Believe in god and the universe, it will never give you challenges you can’t handle. Just make sure to always keep good intentions.

Others

  • Cheaters and thieves might appear more successful, but they can never sleep well at night.
  • Wealth can take many forms but poverty looks the same everywhere.
  • Kids don’t take birth after studying the law. You must teach them accountability.

Science

  • Scientists devoted their whole lives towards making discoveries. Think about the sacrifices Madam Curie must have made.
  • Scientists obsess so much over problems that they start solving them in their dreams. Kekule tried extremely hard to find the structure of C6H6 but was not able to find it. One night in sleep, he saw a snake biting his own tail. Kekule immediately got up and drew cyclic compound- benzene.
  • Luck can play an important role. Mendel picked pea plant which was easiest to track.
  • If you really want to do science, no one can stop you. Faraday was a poor bookbinder but educated himself with books that people gave him to bind. Einstein didn’t get selected as a professor.
  • Be confident if you feel you are right and have been deliberate. Truth can take time but it always prevails. Chandrashekhar constant was heavily opposed initially, even ridiculed, by scientific community.
